Cette exposition est l’aboutissement de la recherche de connexion d’idées interconnectées qui résulte dans un accrochage autour d’une pièce central. Un paysage imaginaire qui a comme source mes origines Flamandes, ma vie ici en France et ma relation avec le Midwest. Assembler comme les pièces d’un puzzle. Le terme paradigme peut avoir plusieurs significations ; la représentation, une vision du monde, un modèle, un courant de pensées, un ensemble de principes, de théories, de valeurs qui définissent une approche particulière pour comprendre et expliquer en fin de compte un point de vue personnelle. Comme Cervantès, Bruegel montre l’homme comme un antihéros, comique et parfois grotesque, et il suit la parabole de l’aveugle conduisant des aveugles décrite dans Matthieu 15:14 :«Laissez-les tranquilles : ce sont des aveugle-conducteurs des aveugle. Et si l’aveugle conduit l’aveugle, tous les deux tomberont dans le fossé.» “J’essaie de garder mémoire des horreurs et abominations humaines, comme la code noir par exemple, mais de la magnificence humaine aussi.” Le sens de l’émerveillement selon Rabelais.
